Entries invited for the lowcostholidays.ie Men’s Winter League

Entries for the new lowcostholidays.ie Men’s Winter League are now being invited. Entry sheets are located in the Bar and Pro Shop and the closing date for entries is December 31.

The Tournament Committee are proposing to run the Team League in conjunction with the scheduled Sunday Single Stableford competitions over the period from January 11 to February 15.

The normal entry fee will apply and there will be no extra charge for this league but participants will need to take part in the Sunday competition to be eligible.

It is hoped that as many full members as possible will enter the league but those entering should ensure that they will be available most Sundays in order to give their team every possible chance of winning. Not all cards will count each Sunday allowing for unforeseen absence. The League is an optional choice and does not restrict members from playing normal Sunday competition.

The number of teams and their sizes will be determined once the entries have been received and the teams will be drawn by the Tournament Committee to ensure there is a fair spread of playing handicaps.

The top two teams will play-off for the League title in a matchplay final on Sunday, February 15.

This is a fun event to start 2015 and it is hoped as many full members as possible will enter.
