Hoey is first Wednesday winner

Last Wednesday saw the return of the weekly open singles stableford competition which will run through the summer. Eamonn Hoey (16) with 39pts was the first winner by two points from Richard Newell (2). A visitor, Conor McGleenon (11) from The Island, took Category 1 and Michael Carr (14) and Anthony Clarke (20) taking the other category prizes. Caolan Rafferty claimed the gross prize with an excellent 37pts.

 Hoey’s went out in 20pts after having three three point holes on the front nine and he had two more three point holes on the back nine as he came home in 19pts.
