Conlon holds on to win Golfer of the Year 2017

Vincent Conlon (8) is the Golfer of the Year after he just held on to edge out Peter Rogers (2) and Jim Dwyer (8) following the final counting competition last Sunday.

The Golfer of the Year is based on the seven best results from 13 competitions across the season starting with last April’s Gold Medal Qualifier.

Conlon finished on 507 which represents a stroke average of 72.43 while Rogers and Dwyer were on 509 with a stroke average of 72.71.

The top ten finishers were: 507 – Vincent Conlon (8); 509 – Peter Rogers (2), Jim Dwyer (8); 513 – Brian Mernagh (12); 514 – Connor McCaughey (5), Carl Stewart (9); 516 – Sean Quigley (18); 518 – Paddy Duffy (13), Terry Conlon (6); 519 – Shane Hession (6).
