For the third successive week there are new leaders at the top of the Men’s Winter League.

Having gone from sixth after the opening week to second last week, the Caribbean completed their climb up the table with their total of 155pts on Sunday enough to take them over Thailand into top spot.

Thailand, with 146pts, had the day’s third highest score but it wasn’t enough to keep them at the head of the table although there is a mere seven points between the teams.

The rest of the top five positions remain unchanged but a gap of 25pts has now opened up between the leaders and Portugal in fifth.

After two weeks at the bottom, USA finally climbed up the table with their total of 148pts the second best total of the day and they have been replaced by Turkey who slid from 9th to 13th after posting the day’s lowest score of 121pts.

Sunday’s 14 hole Single Stableford Competition was won by 12 handicapper David Murden who edged out Gerard Daly (13) on countback after both shot 32 points. Sean Hession, off 10, was third on 33pts thanks to an inward 17pts.

The Tournament Committee has asked players to be more diligent when completing their cards as there were six disqualifications on Sunday due to unsigned cards.
