Ladies Teams Doing Us Proud

On Saturday 13th April our Junior Cup Team of Pauline Campbell, Elaine Ward, Eve Rowland, Maureen Sheridan and Mary Carthy braved gale force winds in Concra Wood to beat Mannan Castle and earn a place in the 2nd round where they will meet Headford.
This match will take place on Sunday 19th May in Skerries Golf Club.
Best of luck and lets hope for better weather in Skerries.

The Mary McKenna Diamond Team played Headford last Wednesday. Unfortunately we lost all 5 matches which were played on the New Course. Headford travelled to Dundalk on Thursday 25th for the return leg and Dundalk put up a good fight winning 4 matches. Unfortunately this was not enough and Headford won overall.

On Friday last, 19th April our Irish Mixed Foursomes Team played Ardee, 2 matches at home and 3 away. It went down to the wire with Dundalk losing on the 19th hole in the last match. Thank you to Ann Hopper and Maurice Soraghan (Managers) and their panel. It has now emerged that Dundalk got through this round and will play Bellewstown in the next round.

The Intermediate Cup Team went to Headford on Saturday last to play against Balbriggan and unfortunately we lost. Hard luck to all. Thank you to the Team Managers Briege Renaghan and Bernie Prendergast and their panel.

The Minor Cup went to South Meath and played in gale force winds and were victorious against Ardee on Saturday 27th April. Well done to the team: Siobhan Kearney, Bernie Prendergast, Sally McDonnell, Briege Renaghan and Siobhan Duffy.

The Challenge Cup team played in very difficult conditions in Greenore against Seapoint and were victorious also. Well done to the Ladies: Sinead O’Callaghan. Pat Cleary, Maura Shelly, Maura Coyle and Oonagh Quinn.

The Junior Foursomes played Balcarrik in Hollystown on Sunday 28th April and are through to the next round. On the team were Bernie McCabe and Berni MacGuinness Niamh Maguire and Brid Rocks and Therea Connolly and Ruth Connolly.

Well done to all the teams and the Team Captains for all the hard work and preparation.
