Winners break 100pts in Lady Captain’s Charity competition for SOSAD

Lady Captain Pauline Campbell’s Charity Team Competition was played in glorious conditions on Saturday July 17 and Tuesday July 20. The competition was very generously sponsored by Dundalk Lighting and was in aid of SOSAD, who work tirelessly to raise awareness and help prevent suicide in Ireland. They offer care and support to those in need in our community and their free professional services include counselling, crisis support and a 24 hour helpline.

The scoring was exceptionally high, with a huge 101 points winning overall first. Very well done to the winning team of Marie MacKell, Kitty Duffy, Pauline Duffy and Louise Lynn. They were two points ahead of the runners up who came in with another fabulous score of 99 points.

A nine hole Gents competition was held in the evening, and along with numerous raffles, a large sum was raised for this most worthy of causes. A big thank you to the members of Dundalk Golf Club and the sponsors for making this event such a success.
