MEN'S SECTION Vincent Conlon produced a superb score of 41pts to win the latest round of the Cathedral Financial Autumn Series Stableford which was held over the weekend of September 23 and 24. He won by two points from teenager Eoin Purton (2) who had the consolation of winning Division 1 and also the Gross Prize. Playing off 10, Conlon went out in 19pts thanks to three pars and a birdie two at the ninth. That birdie sparked a haul of 16pts from six successful holes which included another birdie on the 14th. Andrew Shekleton (18) won Division 2 on countback from Cormac Malone (14) while Ciaran Rafferty took Division 3. LADIES SECTION Oonagh Quinn was the leading scorer of the 18 Hole Stableford played on Saturday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 28. This competition was very kindly sponsored by the Gardiner Family Apothecary. Oonagh returned a superb 38 points in trying conditions on Tuesday to win the Division 3 title. Elaine Ward was the winner of Division 1 and Grainne Mullins was the winner of Division 2. Presentation of the beautiful prizes took place in the clubhouse on Tuesday evening, and Joanna Gardiner, CEO of Gardiner Family Apothecary spoke of the company’s commitment to the ladies section of Dundalk Golf Club.
