An early burst of scoring that accumulated eleven points from the opening four holes and a run of solid, consistent points gathering on the back nine saw Eamon McEneaney, playing off a 15 handicap, emerged winner with 36 points of the midweek Open Singles Stableford Competition sponsored by McKenna Man.
Eamon set off in impressive style, parring the par four first, third and fourth holes for three pointers, but struggled to maintain the high scoring momentum, reaching the turn on 17 points. A par five at the 10th hole for three points was followed with six two pointers, one single pointer and a flourish towards the end with a par three on the 17th hole for three points to come home with 19 points.
