Malone burns up back nine to win Bank Holiday Open

The Open Singles Stableford competition on Bank Holiday Monday was won by Sam Malone who shot a brilliant 41pts off 11.
​Having covered the opening nine in 17pts, Malone moved up several gears down the back as he came home in 24pts after scoring three points on six holes and four points on the 12th where he had a birdie four.
Patrick Wadding (25) was the only other player in the field to hit 40pts as he won Division 3 while Tommy Renaghan (17) took Division 1 with 38pts and Jack Duffy (18) won Division 2 36pts.
