John McKeever was a clear winner of the weekend Singles Stableford competition which was played over 14 holes. Playing off 12 he shot a superb score of 39pts which was made up of one birdie, 11 pars and just two bogeys as he covered the 14 holes in 58 shots which is one over gross. That earned him top spot in Division 2 which he won by four points from Tony Ryan (13).
Division 1 was won by John Paul Casey (9) whose round of 37pts included four birdies, six pars and four bogeys. He just edged out Ciaran Traynor (5) by a solitary point after Traynor had carded a round that included four birdies, nine pars and just one bogey. Conor Byrne (15) with 34pts won Division 3 by one point from Martin McDonnell (15). Byrne’s round included seven pars while McDonnell had one birdie and five pars. Brian Crombie (19) with 38pts was the Division 4 winner after a round that included one birdie and five pars and beat Conor Murphy (18) by two points with Murphy shotting six pars during his round.
