Murphy continues winning ways in Spain

Congratulations to Eoin Murphy who followed up his win in the Dundalk Scratch Cup with a win in the opening event of the season on the R&A’s Student Tour Series which was his maiden win on the tour.
Representing Maynooth University, where he is a Harrington Scholar, Murphy shot rounds of 71, 70 and 71 for a 4-under-par 212 tally to win by two by two strokes from Sweden’s Hugo Stark.
Murphy then went to the North of Ireland Championship at Royal Portrush where he finished tied third behind winner James Fox of Portmarnock after shooting three rounds of 71 and one of 81 in the third round which was played in horrendous weather with no player equaling or bettering par.
