Open wins for Rogers and Englishby

The Open Singles Stableford on Bank Holiday Monday was won by Brendan Rogers (9) whose 40pts was two better than Jack Duffy (20). The Two-Person team competition held the same day saw Padraig McDonnell (25) partner with Michael McKevitt (15) for a fourball score of 43pts which was three better than Katie (5) and Anna Rowland (6).
John Englishby, playing off 23, won the Wednesday Open with a score of 40pts that included pars at the first, fifth, 10th and 14th.
Richard Newell (3) won Division 1 for the second consecutive week despite being cut a shot. His score of 36pts edged out Thomas O’Connell (8) on countback. Declan Conlon (20) won Division 2 with 38pts from Padraig Hassett (14) who shot 35pts.  Andy McGrane (24), a visitor from Seapoint, shot 39pts to win Division 3 by one point from Brendan Cleary (27).
