Caolan Rafferty put in a spirited defence of the Laytown and Bettystown Scratch Cup today.
He eventually finished tied 13th on five over, six shots behind the winner Darragh Flynn who beat TJ Ford in a play-off. Rafferty was tied fifth, two shots off the lead, at the halfway point of the 36 hole tournament after shooting a one under par 70. Conditions were tougher in the afternoon and Rafferty could manage two birdies as he carded a six over par 77. The scores can be viewed here.
