solid round delivers victory for mccaughey

A round of solid, consistent, scoring for a final tally of nett 62 saw Robert McCaughey (25) emerge as overall winner of the Open Singles Stroke competition sponsored by KMR.

His round was evenly divided, his nett 31 on the outward nine included two nett pars at the par three 5th and 9th holes and six one over pars, while on the back nine he parred five holes to come home in nett 31.

Robert’s nett 62 was one shot better than runner up Patrick Cole (25) who turned on nett 33 and produced an impressive back nine of nett 30 that included a birdie at the par three 13th, a par four at the 14th and seven one over pars.
