Team Tesla coped best in the tough conditions that were prevalent for the second week of the Precision Cables Winter League and have opened up a slender lead at the top of the table.
They scored 120pts with brothers Aidan and Brian Gaughran delivering 33pts and 32ptsa respectively. Team captain Brendan Keane and Alan Wilson were the other contributors. Tesla, who are now on 230pts, lead by one point from Team Peugeot. They scored 113pts with Colm McCourt contributing a super 35pts to their score. First round leaders, Team Honda, slipped from top spot to seventh after only amassing 95pts and now find themselves 17pts behind the new leaders. Dara Herr (14) with 36pts won the 14 Hole Singles Stableford competition that was run in conjunction with week two of the Precision Cables Winter League. He took the overall honours by one point from Colm McCourt (28). Barry Cunningham (5) shot 33pts to win Division 1 with John Sharkey (5) needing a last nine countback to take second place. In Division 2 John McKenna (13) took first place with 33pts while Pat McEntaggart (12) took second on 32pts thanks to a last nine countback. Aidan Gaughran (16) was the winner of Division 3 with 33pts while a last nine countback saw Gerry Campbell (18) take the runner-up spot with 31pts.
