Hole 2 – Whitworth

Par: 4   Stroke Index: 9
Blue: 370m      White: 356m   Green: 341m   Red: 333m

Named after Mrs Whitworth who, in 1923, leased 93 acres of land to the Club to lay out a new 18 hole golf course. The club bought the land in 1938.

Leslie’s Tip: A downhill short par four with a hazard crossing the fairway at some 280 yards from the medal tees. The second shot is slightly uphill to a green with a hidden back tier. The narrow entrance has bunkers on either side.
