Hole 4 – An Sceach
Par: 4 Stroke Index 1
Blue: 402m White: 398m Green: 390m Red: 401m
In Irish, sceach means bush and, in this case, refers to the knarled tree in the rough on the left hand side at the ridge which runs across the fairway. Sceach is indicated in old maps of the local area.
Leslie’s Tip: Another long par four requiring a tee shot down the right side of the fairway. The second shot to a narrow green sloping back to front requires accuracy and distance control. There is a bunker along the left side of the green but the other side can be used as a bailout area.
